How to improve employee performance
Employees are asset of the organisation and special care is needed to maintained them. The HR rules book, hike in salary and infrastructure are not just enough to maintain and improve their performance but need more.
- Support the employee in different modes, some one is there who hear the voice and revert back to them with solution. The open discussion platform to be cerated and shall be chaired from the management to rationalised the expressed thoughts about work experiences. Transform the employee into team by knowing them about business objective, future action plan, growth plan and other business contributing plan so that all should be on same platform and start thinking on it. Collect their views and ideas which seems to be productive and place it in the agenda of management review meeting. This act spark the importance of one self in the business and start acting as a catalyst.
- Simplification of work with quantification, ease the working culture and one understand that the task on counts and to be performed in the defined man hours. It get motivated the team also on achievement of the task on counts like a target achievement. The manager should plan an incentive to keep the rhythm on achievement of target, the target should not be always for sales and marketing it can be for operations, HR, Accounts and other department that create organisation.
- Smart communication channel, communication is one of the important factor to normalise the work environment where different interdependent work department works together and need to update with technology and it makes sense for having team in same platform to get the business or project objectives to be accomplished. There are many medium of formal and informal ways of communication like mails, whatsapp, chats, SMS, in app notifications, digital display boards and many other to get informed and make them all in one direction.
- Place Grievance management with technology innovation that ease the way of dealing with team like chat bots, FAQs, ticketing and different application smooths the rectification and resolution of grievances. It save time and resources as with fast track reports and comment with root cause analysis make resolution easier and simpler, many grievances close with digital format and some need at manual format. It is a critical area need to be address and cant be left behind.
Last important is all efforts from one side cant get best solution, it should be from both of the side and each contribution equally required in the performance upgradation.
